Depression hexes have the capability of containing units at both ground level (Crest status) and at the bottom of the Depression (i.e., not in Crest status). Rules referring specifically to the bottom of a Depression hex use the words IN/INTO with all CAPITAL letters as opposed to normal usage with lower case letters. A unit IN a Depression is at the bottom of it, but one in a Depression is in Crest status in it.
